Reseller's Dictionary - Most Popular Abbreviations
The streetwear environment has evolved to such an extent that it is difficult to navigate it without the right knowledge. As it turns out, streetwear is not only a style, a way of dressing , but also a language that characterizes this community.
Without knowing the words, you can easily get lost in this world. Learning the vocabulary used by people involved in streetwear will allow you to strike deals and move freely in all streetwear groups.
That's why we've prepared a dictionary for you, where you'll find phrases that are often used by resellers!
Reseller's Dictionary
- AF1 – short for Nike Air Force 1
- ASAP – as soon as possible
- BUMP (B/UP) – from English bring up my post – a comment that is left for the purpose of better positioning of the post
- BIN – buy it now (price) – the “buy now” price, the first person to bid the seller’s price buys the item
- BOGO – a sweatshirt of a given brand with a characteristic box logo, e.g. Supreme
- BREDY – a color name created from the words black and red
- BEATERS – everyday shoes that we don't care about too much
- BACKDOOR – the store owner releases items to his friends outside the queue
- BOT – an application or script that allows us to buy limited items faster than we would do it manually, such automatic purchases on our behalf
- CW – colorway
- CMDNN – what are you wearing today?
- CMDNS – what are you wearing today?
- DS – from English deadstock – an item in 10/10 condition, intact
- DAN – a type of drop in the Nike SNKRS app – we have about 15 minutes to take part in the drawing for the parka
- DROP – premiere of shoes / clothes on various applications such as Nike or Adidas , or a term used when we do not intend to buy something
- EASY COP – easy purchase
- EARLY ACCESS – a type of drop in the Nike app from 1 to 3 days before the premiere, random people from the app get the opportunity to buy selected shoes before their premiere
- FAKE (FEJKI, FEJE, FUFU) – not original item
- FITS – fits in size. Also used as: to match a style
- FIT – e.g. how a given shoe size fits, e.g. size 45 EU in Nike is 44 2/3 EU in Adidas
- FSR – full size run – full size range of a given model and color
- FLEX – from English to show off – to show off
- FCFS – First come first served – a type of drop in the Nike SNKRS app
- GRAIL – a dream item, often very limited
- GR – from English general release – the date of release of the collection
- GS – from English grade school – youth/women's sizing, sizes up to 39
- GUM SOLE – a term for a characteristic rubber sole in shoes.
- HYPE – the fashion for something. For example, some item, shoes or a sweatshirt “is hip”
- HEAT – an item that is very popular
- H/O – from English: highest offer – the highest offer
- HARD COP – hard purchase
- ICY SOLE – a term for a transparent or semi-transparent sole
- JUMPMAN – Jordan Brand logo
- KOLABO – collaboration, i.e. cooperation
- KAMPIĆ (KAMPERKA, CAMP) – staying in front of a shop while waiting for a given premiere
- LEGIT (L) – original item
- LPU – from English latest Pick Up – last purchase
- L – LOOSE – lose, e.g. not be drawn during a drop
- LEO – a type of drop in the Nike SNKRS app, you have about 2-3 minutes to sign up for shoes , after about 5 minutes there are results
- LEGIT CHECK (LC) – checking the authenticity of shoes / clothes
- NWOT – new without tags
- NIB – from English: new in box
