This process includes engraving, controlled patination, heat treatment, and selective hand-brushing. Model 1.S stands out with deeply cut lines that, in an Art Deco style, emphasize the sub-register, creating a dramatic visual effect through contrasting shades of blue and brownish-green.
LAB 1.GMT: Complexity and Elegance
LAB 1.GMT, on the other hand, introduces a more complex, multi-layered relief, with a subtle depiction of the globe viewed from the North Pole. This design is complemented by Breguet-style GMT indicators, adding elegance and refinement to the model.
Technology and Craftsmanship in Holthinrichs Watches
Both watches are housed in a 38.5 mm Grade 5 titanium case that breaks conventional design rules with exceptionally thin, curved lug structures. The entire printing process takes up to 48 hours, and each piece undergoes meticulous hand-finishing. The watches are powered by modified Sellita movements, with a hand-carved tungsten rotor that catches the eye with subtle blue and purple hues, harmonizing with the dials.
