About The Brand
Virgil Abloh, considered one of the most influential creators in the world of contemporary fashion, was a true visionary whose works blurred the boundaries between fashion, art and culture. Born in 1980 in Rockford, Illinois, Abloh gained international recognition not only as the founder of luxury streetwear brand Off-White, but also as artistic director of the men's line Louis Vuitton - a position to which, as an African-American, he was appointed in 2018, which was a historic moment for the fashion industry.
An architecture and engineering graduate, Abloh used his multidisciplinary education to create designs that went beyond traditional approaches to fashion. His unique aesthetic, combining high fashion with street style, has gained him a loyal community of fans and established his position as a thought leader in the field of design. Abloh pioneered the use of typography, irony and meta-commentary in his designs, which gained him recognition around the world.
Known for his collaborations with artists, musicians and other designers, Virgil Abloh he was also active in many other fields, including furniture design, art and music, which proves his versatile talent and endless creativity. Sadly, the fashion world said goodbye to Virgil Abloh in 2021 after his battle with a rare disease. a form of cancer.
