Asics

Asics is a Japanese company producing sports footwear and clothing, founded in 1949 by Kihachiro Onitsuka. Initially, the company was known as Onitsuka Tiger, but in 1977 it was transformed into Asics. The name Asics is an acronym from the Latin proverb "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano", which means "A healthy mind in a healthy body". Asics is considered one of the leaders in the production of specialized running footwear, appreciated by both amateurs and professionals. The company has earned a reputation for innovative technologies such as Gel Cushioning, which reduces shock, and I.G.S. (Impact Guidance System), supporting the natural movements of the foot. Asics continues research and development at its Sports Science Institute, striving to create products that improve performance and prevent injuries. The brand is also active internationally, supporting numerous sporting events and athletes around the world.
