Air Max 96

The Nike Air Max 96 is a classic model that debuted in 1996 and quickly gained popularity thanks to its modern technology and unique design. Created by Sergio Lozano, who previously worked on the iconic Air Max 95, it featured dynamic lines, layered panels, and advanced cushioning technology. The Air Max 96 introduced a new version of the Air-Sole unit that was more visible and effective in cushioning. The shoe's upper combined a variety of materials, such as mesh, leather, and synthetic reinforcements, which provided excellent support and comfort. The model was available in several distinctive colorways that reflected the aesthetic of the '90s, with contrasting colors and dynamic patterns dominating. In 2021, Nike decided to reintroduce the Air Max 96, which was met with great enthusiasm from sneaker fans and collectors. The reissue retained many of the original elements while introducing subtle improvements that improved the comfort and durability of the shoe.
